VDR Annual Inspection
Our certified team of surveyors can provide a full VDR service on board your vessel. We can give this annual performance test to the manufacturers: JRC.
In detail, we will provide a complete inspection of all your equipment that makes up the VDR system, from the simplest to the most complex. For each inspection, we follow a rigorous procedure provided by the companies we represent, and we check each point below with precision.
The annual, full VDR inspection – for JRC – that we perform on board involves checking the steps below.
They are:
- Download Capsule Data (Fixed and Float Free)
- Ensure the condition of the VDR battery with the Blackout Test
- Checking the validity of the batteries of the Acoustic beacon, Float-free capsule & Float-free capsule HRU & Power reserve
- Confirm the operation and registration of all interfaces
- Subsequent verification of any repairs
- Inspect the data recording and playback condition
- Verification and confirmation of all documentation necessary for proper maintenance of the system, as required by regulatory bodies
- Issuance of a copy of the APT together with the approval of the classification authority
